The MTX Supertatra car was designed in the early 1990s by the automotive designer Václav Král and all the pieces produced are meeting in one place for the first time ever. An exhibition of drawings by the long-time director of the Tatra Museum will take visitors through the history of the Tatra car factory.
Both exhibitions can be seen in the Czech town of Kopřivnice.
“The idea for the exhibition was initiated by the owner of the first prototype and we did not want to refuse this opportunity, so we made it almost impossible to make the meeting happen,” writes the Technical Museum in Kopřivnice on its Facebook profile for the Supertatra MTX exhibition.
This is the first time they have met in Kopřivnice. Even together with the Tatra Ecorra V8 Sport, which competed in the dispute for recognition of the speed record, which was won by only one day by the third Supertater MTX in black paint, although the Ecorra was faster.
The exhibition “Wanderings through the history of Tatra in the drawings of Karel Rosenkranz” was prepared by the Museum of Fojtství in Kopřivnice. The former long-time director of the Tatra Museum is the author of hundreds of pictures of old Tatra cars, which have been published in books, calendars and as postcards.
The Karl Rosenkranz exhibition at the Fojtství Museum will run until 3 March, with the super sports bidding visitors farewell a day earlier.
