The world knows about an American dealer who set a world record in 1978 when he sold 13,001 cars as a dealer between 1963 and 1978. This 45-year-old feat has now been surpassed by Milan Klik, a sixty-one-year-old Czech.
Between 4 July 2003 and 10 April 2023, he sold an unprecedented 13,019 cars at the AAA Auto branch in Prague. This has been verified and registered by the Commissioners of the Museum of Records and Mr. Klik will be included in the next edition of the Czech Book of Records in the category “Most cars sold by one person”.
The record holder is, according to his employer, a great salesman to whom clients like to return and who is able to sell up to 6 cars in a 13-hour shift.
His knowledge, but especially his personal approach to customers, is a great asset in today’s highly competitive environment. Milan Klik’s ability is illustrated by the loyalty of his customers. One of them has bought over sixty cars from him over the years!
He also sold a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which was driven by the American actor Bruce Willis at the time of the filming of Hart’s War. His customers also include other well-known personalities, such as the first Czech president Václav Havel.
Milan Klik has no need for funny stories either. “We once had a 50% off car sale. A couple dialed the highest possible 50% discount on the wheel of fortune, so they could have a car worth 120 thousand for only 60. But the condition was that it had to be photographed for public display. Unfortunately, the lady was his mistress, so they didn’t want to be photographed together and ended up buying the car for the full price,” smiles the fresh record holder Milan Klik.
